about

The RENDEZVOUS art project has showed 14 exhibitions the past 4 year. The first of these venues was the private residence of Paul Boulitreau in Morningside from where it moved on to venues such as; The North-West University, University of Johannesburg, University of the Freestate, University of Stellenbosch. Grande Provance, Oliewenhuis Museum, The Hyatt Hotel, Aardklop national arts Festival and KKNK.

The first edition – RENDEZVOUS FOCUS SCULPTURE – gave 40 matriculates from the Alexandra Township in Johannesburg the opportunity to apply to university by paying their application fees in full.

The second edition - RENDEZVOUS FOCUS WEARABLE ART – in association with the North-West University made it possible to grant a bursary for a postgraduate student within the field of humanities.

The third edition - RENDEZVOUS FOCUS ORIGINAL LITHOGRAPHY – sent 6 South African artists to the Atelier Pons in Paris, France for a month to study with the master lithographer Elisabeth Pons. The artists work, produced in France, were showcased as part of the local travelling exhibition. None of these project would be possible with our or sponsors who has been extremely supportive and in 2010 Air Liquide received the Best International Sponsorship award for its involvement with Rendezvous from BASA.
